The Sun heats some places more than others. Warm air rises, cooler air rushes in to take its place, and that moving air is what we feel as wind.

Clouds and rain

When warm air carrying water vapour rises and cools, the vapour turns into tiny droplets — that’s a cloud. When the droplets get heavy enough, it rains.
